Bret Walker, CPA
Managing Partner
Bret received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University. He has over 25 years of experience in the accounting field after beginning his career as an occupational therapist. After running a hand clinic for several years, he realized his passion was in the business industry and went back to school at The University of Texas at Dallas for Accounting to obtain his CPA license. Bret serves as the CFO for a mid-sized company, is the Comptroller for small businesses, and is a Trustee for several trusts.
Bret utilizes his extensive accounting knowledge as well as his psychology background to connect with his clients and provide them with the tools and information necessary to make informed decisions. He has vast experience with Oil & Gas, trusts, and small business and enjoys helping his clients find new ways of approaching their tax and business decisions.
Bret enjoys spending time with his two dogs, watching Game of Thrones (& collecting the swords), is an avid college football and Dallas Mavericks fan and has an affinity for horror movies. His pride and joy are his wife and two daughters who he loves spending time with.
Hayley Maun, CPA
Partner, Director of Tax Services
Hayley received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Oklahoma and continued her education at The University of Texas at Dallas while studying for and taking the CPA exam. She has over 10 years of experience in the accounting field and previously served as the CFO for the Alpha Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at The University of Oklahoma.
Hayley loves working closely with small businesses to help them develop and grow into successful companies. She also enjoys working with individuals to provide guidance and advice so that her clients can make informed decisions based on their changing needs.
Outside the office, Hayley enjoys expressing her creativity through her artwork and spending time with her two chocolate labs. She is also an avid runner & is aiming to run her first marathon in the next year!
